Short-Term Running Goals:

I hope to run the Chevron Houston marathon in 2010 and am signed up to do the Bayou City Classic 10K on 03/14/09.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Get into good enough shape and learn enough about fitness to become a personal trainer. And then make enough money doing that so I can start my own aquarium business...

Personal:

I'm a vegetarian, formerly vegan until I rediscovered Velveeta and frappacinos... I am an avid aquarium hobbyist, keeping both saltwater and freshwater fish. I am in love with my pekingese and Garrison Keillor.

There are several new policies in effect for 2009.

I can't allow myself to be without a job anymore. I dropped out of college so I could join the workforce, make some money and start my business... so I'd better start generating some income.

I've got to take control of my laundry situation. I have three baskets of dirty laundry in my room and each smells like the Pekingese who often sits in them. Every day that there is laundry to do, I must do one load and use the time in the garage to lift weights and stretch.

 I'm not ready for my half marathon at all... this year's going to involve more running.

 I've got to stop eating so much junk food! 

I would say I've got to stop drinking so much, but I've never really been a drunk. I never drink more than 2 - 3 beers or a single glass of wine in a night, and I very rarely drink hard alcohol. So I'll just keep my level of alcohol consumption at that.

 I did a laundry workout (which is about 30 minutes of stretching, weights and calisthenics in my garage as I wait for my laundry) and then a run around Allison's neighborhood in the evening.

15 minutes of running up and down some parking garage stairs. It was pretty intense. I'm going to run the Bayou City Classic and need to lose some weight to get faster.

Lifted weights. I hurt my shoulder running up some stairs with heavy rocks, so I tried to not stress it too much. I'm very sore from those damn stairs.
